Re: AMA, The Spook answers all!
@Megan Well I have chrome of course, and the basics like calling and messaging.
I have a wifi scanner that maps wifi locations as I go past them meaning I only need my phone for war driving, I usually do this while I play ingress.
I use youtube music on it to listen to music on the go when I'm driving or working.
I have a terminal emulator I use combined with my bluetooth solar keyboard for accessing old stuff or when I just need a terminal on the go.
the most used app on my phone though is my RSS reader since it allows me to keep up with the latest news and such
for everything else I either use my desktop or if I need something portable I grab a suitable laptop from the one's I've rescued and restored.
here's my phone's desktop btw, the backgorund is animated and changes perspective when I tilt the phone.

Re: AMA, The Spook answers all!
@Megan it's a rare thing, the last time I upgraded my phone it was because it had worn it's self out and I wanted more power at my fingertips.
the time before that was because my phone got trampled by a hoard of people exiting the college building I was taking network system administration in.
and before that... I had a flip phone.
I'm not expecting to replace my phone until either the new foldable smart phones become cheaper or until modular smart phones are a thing.
and if modular smart phones do become a thing I doubt I'll ever replace the phone entirely again.

Freshly cut wood is easily one of my favorite smells, especially cedar, pine, or sandal wood.

Re: AMA, The Spook answers all!
@Megan very practical ones mostly comfortable t shirts, denim overalls, or denim pants with suspenders. And some kind of undershirt.
Though I've been looking into making my own...
I used to dress very differently though. When I was younger it was jeans and a t shirt with bands I liked or science fiction stuff on them. Then I started wearing trench coats and goggles.
After that I became interested in victorian fashion, puffy shirts overalls and black denim pants with nice black leather shoes an inverness coat, a scarf that I used as an ascot, and either a top hat, or a derby with an inverness cape coat.
Lately though I just wear the overalls, or jeans with suspenders and a denim jacket covered in pins and patches. Or a denim vest with patches and pins on it, still wear the goggles though for practical reasons now... And as for a hat, I've changed to either the black derby, or a denim flat cap... Or if it's cold I have a special wooly hat...
And because of the pandemic I now wear a face mask with circuit patterns on it.
I guess my eccentricities evolved into the pins and patches jacket or vest lol.
I'm actually looking forward to wearing the jacket again now that it's getting colder, it's something I had a lot of fun adding to.
What you don't see is a tarot card on the right shoulder and a mars explorer patch on the left
The tarot card of course is the magician

Re: AMA, The Spook answers all!
@Megan yes, in fact I took botany as an elective in high school.
I got to learn what is basically the technical side of farming, stuff like manipulating acidity to make plants grow bigger naturally, or growing living walls and such for indoor settings to produce more O2 and how to manage stuff like hydroponics and aeroponics.
some of my favorite plants are carnivorous plants like venus fly traps.
Large leaf vines like Philodendrons.
and fruit plants like berry bushes and fruit trees.
I'm also super excited for where DIY genetic engineering is going regarding bioluminescient plants as I want to some day grow bioluminescient philodendrons as a living light source at home which doesn't require electricity.
also what I'm calling a "spirit willow" which is a modified Willow tree with bioluminescent leaves and tendrils hanging down.
