Promote the person above you

This is a twist on the "ban the person above you" game.
Simply complete the sentence ("The person above me was promoted for/because...") with a nice or silly reason why the person above was promoted.
Example:
The person above me was promoted because they kissed 1000 ferrets.
The person above me was not promoted because there is no one above me.
