Role Play: Mao

[Megan]

“I…” Kyle lowered his head. “S…she’s my mom. She may not be a good one but…she’s still my mom.”

[Enryu]

"Ok." Vola said. "If you really think that's how it works... Well, I hope you're right."

[Megan]

“What do you mean by that? Nothings going to happen.” He said looking at Vola. “You’re not going to confront mom or anything.” He said firmly.

[Enryu]

"I won't." Vola said. "You've changed my mind."

[Megan]

“You better not.” Kyle said. “Let’s just go…” he grumbled leading the way out of the hospital. It was obvious he wasn’t completely recovered as he stumbled once in a while and couldn’t walk very fast though it was a bit better then a few days ago.

[Enryu]

“Wait…” Vola said. “You said your mom wasn’t very good. What I mean is… remember a while back I wanted to ask you something? and then we fought?” she asked. “I just wondered, when you made that stupid wish and I was your mother…..was I any good at it?”

[Megan]

Kyle stopped. He hesitated before turning to Vola. He slowly nodded. “I…you were. A lot better then my mom. I…I kinda wish she was more like you were. Even if it wasn’t real you loved me and…and never tried to hurt me…”

[Enryu]

Vola exhaled as if she’d been holding her breath. “Thank you.” she said. “sorry if that was weird to ask all of the sudden.”

[Megan]

Kyle shook his head. “Not really…part of me wishes you were still my mom…even if I love you in a different way then that…”

[Enryu]

Vola seemed a little caught off guard. “oh, i-I’m not quite sure how to respond to that. For now I’ll take it as a compliment.” she said. “It means a lot to me that someone thinks i’m not a terrible mother. I can’t promise anything, but i’ll try to remember this the next time i’m thinking of being hard on you.”
